House System

To inspire a healthy sense of competition, students of A R S have been allocated one of the four houses which symbolize school’s values. Students develop a sense of belonging and a feeling of unity in being a part of a specific house. The four houses are as follows:

• MERCY : Motto - Icon of excellent word and deed.
• PEACE : Motto - Heralds of peace for a harmonious humanity.
• SERVICE : Motto - Service beyond boundaries.
• TRUTH : Motto - Truth towards liberation.

Each house is led by the House Co-ordinators. The Captain and the Vice-Captain guide their teams on all fronts and play a vital role in leading their team to victory in all events. Participating in various inter- house competitions not only give the students a chance to display their talents but also heps them learn valuable lessons on team work and selfless service. Our school follows different rules to imbibe values like co-operation, honesty,victory in students.

Science Lab

All departments are facilitated with well- equipped laboratories to help the students to attain a thorough knowledge. As part of the curriculum, the students are provided with regular practical classes under the guidance of well experienced teachers.

Yoga

Mutual co ordination of mind and body facilitates developing concentration. Yoga is imparted to the students as a part of the curriculum to keep the students at their best mental and emotional comfort. Strong mind creates dynamic personalities and we strictly believe our education is to cerate the highly motivated self oriented individuals for the future.

Karate

Emphasis is on concentration of as much of the body’s power as possible at the point and instant of impact. There are varied reasons for providing such training to our students. This is to foster greater discipline, confidence, self- control, physical fitness and spiritual growth.
With this foundation in place, every thing else follows in our natural order.

Sports & Games

Sports go hand in hand along with academics in A R S .Our students are made to compete in the zonal, state and national level. A professional coaching is given to many games like Football, Volley ball, Basketball, Badminton, Kho kho, Kabaddi and also athletics. Karate is also given training by a professional trainer. Grooming of a good sports person is possible as we have ample infra-structure for that.

Cultural & Activities

Rich in history and cultural tradition, the arts play an important role in education—both for their intrinsic value and their ability to enhance the overall development of a child. Exposure to music, dance, theatre and the visual arts enables personal, social and intellectual growth; allows for new ways of communicating ideas and feelings and improves cognitive capacities and motivations to learn.

At The ARS, cocurricular activities in this sphere include art and craft, music, dance and theatre. These are conducted as group activities, rather than on an individual basis. School outings to the theatre and places of cultural and historical interest are organised regularly.

Tour

Picnics and study tours are part of our curriculum at ARS. For X th and XIIth students, we used to arrange trips to some tourist spot outside Kerala. These kind of pleasure trips prove refreshing to their minds as to continue their studies with increased vigour.

Moral Education

Moral classes are conducted to help in building good relationship in personal as well as professional lives.

Band

A select group of students from class V to XII constitutes the school band which gives display of its prowess on important occasions. It reinforces the skills of co-operation which are now most highly valued.
